A Weekend of Weddings

This was the weekend of weddings! Three of them in two days!

Alisa & Bailey were married in a traditional ceremony on Friday night. (Dave couldn't go with me because he was cooking prime rib and grilled shrimp for Dave & Michelle's Groom's Dinner. ) Alisa & Bailey's wedding was held in a West Fargo Catholic church and the dinner/reception was at the Ramada......a very enjoyable evening! (I had been Alisa's Girl Scout Leader.)

Kim & Matt and Dave & Michelle were married on Saturday. Both Saturday weddings were planned outdoor ceremonies but the weather didn't co-operate.

Dave & Michelle's wedding took on a party flair. They moved the ceremony inside a large metal workshop/party building....... complete with bar and pool table. The location seemed to fit the wedding. The groomsmen wore Hawaiian shirts decorated with motor cycles and with their nick names on the back of the shirts. The girls wore sundresses ordered also from Hawaii. The couple gave away beer cozies for guest gifts.

Kim and Matt's wedding was the complete opposite. Because of rain, their wedding was moved under a large white tent on Kim's parents' lawn. The tent was decorated with miniature lights that sparkled like stars. The ceremony was completely God centered and the vows were serious and joyful. A horse drawn carriage carried the couple away for a few moments of privacy between the ceremony and the dinner/dance. Beautiful! ( I was also Kim's Girl Scout Leader.)

Jason's shadow, Sierra

Sierra followed Jason everywhere while he was here.
You can tell by the pictures how she adores her uncle Jason.

Jason's Visit

Our son, Jason, was here from Colorado.

It was great seeing him again. I picked him up at the airport on May 31st and drove him down to Whapeton for Boy's State. (He's one of the directors)

The next weekend, Dave met Jason and his friends for a fishing trip.

We had the family out for the "2nd Annual DuBord Backyard Party."

Jason's former wrestling coach, Jeff Weber, showed up also. It was a fun get together!

I took Jason back to the airport on June 18th. Here is a picture of Jason at the airport.

See you in Colorado in August, Jason!
