How are we doing? Pastor Andrew from the Kindred Lutheran Church sums it up this way:
"If you haven't heard by now, the predictions for Fargo-Moorhead have gotten worse. The National Weather Service has raised the crest prediction to between 41 and 42 feet and potentially as high as 43 feet by Saturday for the Red River at Fargo-Moorhead--higher than 1997 and higher than the record set in 1897. The information is available at the Forum website.

Many of our brothers and sisters in Oxbow have already had to evacuate. The city of Moorhead is recommending residents in a large portion of south Moorhead prepare to evacuate--south of I-94 and west of 8th Street . The evacuation call is not mandatory at this time. The Oakgrove neighborhood is also facing the possability of evacuation.
Things here in Kindred are looking pretty good. Even though the Sheyenne is rising we should all be safe. Volunteers are doing a marvelous job building dikes. Our leaders are doing an excellent job coordinating and fighting the floodwaters under etremely difficult conditions."
